Airweave integration
Airweave syncs apps, databases and documents (Notion, Slack, GitHub, Google Drive, Salesforce, Jira and dozens more) into collections that AI agents can search. Create and manage collections, connect sources with direct credentials, an OAuth token or a browser OAuth link, run, list and cancel sync jobs, and search a collection with instant vector search, classic AI-optimized search or agentic search. Manage webhook subscriptions for sync and connection events and inspect delivered messages. Left out: the streaming agentic search (server-sent events), reading a webhook signing secret, and the internal sync tuning settings of a collection. Authentication is an API key created in the Airweave dashboard, sent in the x-api-key header.
Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.
What you can do with Airweave
Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.
Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.
Source connection, 6 operations
create_source_connectionCreate source connectionPOSTConnects a data source to a collection. Pass credentials (direct), an access_token, an auth provider, or only a redirect_uri to get an auth.auth_url the user opens to authorize (then call verify_oauth).delete_source_connectionDelete source connectionDELETEPermanently deletes a source connection with its sync configuration, job history and synced data; a running sync is cancelled first. The data becomes unsearchable at once. This cannot be undone.get_source_connectionGet source connectionGETReturns a source connection with its status, authentication state (auth_url while an OAuth flow is pending), configuration, schedule, last sync job and entity counts by type.list_source_connectionsList source connectionsGETLists the source connections of your organization with their status, authentication state and entity count. Filter to one collection with collection; page with skip and limit (1 to 1000).update_source_connectionUpdate source connectionPATCHUpdates a source connection's name, description, connector-specific config or sync schedule, or replaces its credentials (direct authentication only).verify_oauthVerify oauthPOSTCompletes a browser OAuth connection: after the user has authorized through auth_url, presents the claim_token from create_source_connection to prove ownership, which starts the first sync.
Collection, 5 operations
create_collectionCreate collectionPOSTCreates a collection, a container that groups synced data from one or more sources for unified search. Its readable_id, used by every other collection tool, is generated from the name unless you set one.delete_collectionDelete collectionDELETEPermanently deletes a collection with all its synced data, its source connections and their scheduled syncs. This cannot be undone.get_collectionGet collectionGETRetrieve details of a specific collection by its readable ID. Returns the complete collection configuration including sync settings, status, and metadata.list_collectionsList collectionsGETLists the collections of your organization, newest first, with their readable_id, status and attached source connections. Narrow by a name or readable_id substring with search; page with skip and limit (1 to 1000).update_collectionUpdate collectionPATCHRenames a collection. Its readable_id stays the same: it cannot be changed after creation.
Subscription, 5 operations
create_webhook_subscriptionCreate webhook subscriptionPOSTSubscribes an HTTPS URL to Airweave events (sync.completed, sync.failed, source_connection.created and others): Airweave then POSTs each matching event there with a signature header.delete_webhook_subscriptionDelete webhook subscriptionDELETEPermanently delete a webhook subscription. Once deleted, Airweave will stop sending events to this endpoint immediately. This action cannot be undone. Any pending message deliveries will be cancelled.get_webhook_subscriptionGet webhook subscriptionGETReturns a webhook subscription with its URL, event types, health status and recent delivery attempts. The signing secret is not returned.list_webhook_subscriptionsList webhook subscriptionsGETList all webhook subscriptions for your organization. Returns all configured webhook endpoints, including their URLs, subscribed event types, and current status (enabled/disabled).update_webhook_subscriptionUpdate webhook subscriptionPATCHChanges a webhook subscription's URL or event types, or pauses it (disabled true) and resumes it; when resuming, recover_since also replays the messages that failed since then.
Message, 2 operations
get_webhook_messageGet webhook messageGETRetrieve a specific webhook message by its ID. Returns the full message details including the event type, payload data, timestamp, and delivery channel information. Use this to inspect the exact payload that was sent to your webhook endpoints.list_webhook_messagesList webhook messagesGETRetrieve all webhook messages for your organization. Webhook messages represent payloads that were sent (or attempted to be sent) to your subscribed endpoints. Each message contains the event type, payload data, and delivery status information.
Source, 2 operations
get_sourceGet sourceGETReturns one connector type with its authentication methods and the auth_fields (credentials) and config_fields that create_source_connection expects for it.list_sourcesList sourcesGETRetrieve all available data source connectors. Returns the complete catalog of source types that Airweave can connect to, including their authentication methods, configuration requirements, and supported features.
Agentic, 1 operation
agentic_searchAgentic searchPOSTAn agent iteratively searches a collection, reads full documents and navigates hierarchies to collect results; up to about 2 minutes. Use when recall matters more than speed. It may return fewer results than limit.
Cancel, 1 operation
cancel_sync_jobCancel sync jobPOSTRequests cancellation of a pending or running sync job: it moves to cancelling, then cancelled. Entities already processed stay searchable. A completed, failed or cancelled job answers 400.
Classic, 1 operation
classic_searchClassic searchPOSTAI-optimized search over a collection (about 2 s): an LLM analyzes the query and plans the search strategy. The sensible default for most questions. Results come ordered by relevance with their text and source.
Instant, 1 operation
instant_searchInstant searchPOSTDirect vector search over a collection, the fastest tier (about 0.5 s). retrieval_strategy picks hybrid (default), semantic or keyword matching. Results come ordered by relevance with their text and source.
Job, 1 operation
list_sync_jobsList sync jobsGETLists the sync jobs of a source connection, newest first, with status (pending, running, completed, failed, cancelling, cancelled), timing, entity counts and any error.
Recover, 1 operation
recover_failed_webhook_messagesRecover failed webhook messagesPOSTRe-sends the failed or pending messages of a webhook subscription from since until until (default now), in chronological order; delivered ones are skipped. Returns the recovery task and its status.
Run, 1 operation
run_syncRun syncPOSTStarts a sync job that pulls the latest data from a source connection and returns the job; it runs in the background, follow it with list_sync_jobs. Continuous connections sync incrementally unless force_full_sync.
Use Airweave from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex
Connect Airweave in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its Airweave operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

}How to connect Airweave
- Create your workspace
Sign up free. Nothing to install.
- Connect Airweave once
Add your Airweave connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.
- Describe the job in chat
The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
