8x8 Contacts integration

8x8 Contacts (part of 8x8 Connect) stores the contacts and groups an account messages through 8x8 SMS and Messaging Apps. An agent can search, create, read, update and delete contacts (phone number, email and chat app ids, custom attributes), manage groups, add or remove contacts from a group, blacklist a phone number, and run batch jobs that import contacts from a CSV or Excel file, delete contacts, delete groups, or copy or move contacts between groups, then follow those jobs. Authentication is an API key from the 8x8 Connect portal sent as a Bearer token; the connection also holds the account id and the region domain of the account (8x8.com for Asia Pacific, 8x8.uk for Europe, us.8x8.com for North America, 8x8.id for Indonesia).

Say what should happen.
The workflow builds itself.

When this happens, do that in 8x8 Contacts.Built from the 20 8x8 Contacts tools below, on the connection you add once.

What you can do with 8x8 Contacts

Each of these is one operation on one endpoint, available both as a workflow step and as a tool an AI agent can call on its own. Nothing bundles several operations into one action, so what a run did stays readable afterwards.

Most endpoints run on the free plan. A few, mainly the ones that publish on your behalf, need a paid plan.

Use 8x8 Contacts from Claude Code, Cursor or Codex

Connect 8x8 Contacts in LiveContext, create an API key in Settings, then add the LiveContext MCP server to your client. Its 8x8 Contacts operations become tools the client can call, next to every other integration you connected.

How to connect 8x8 Contacts

  1. Create your workspace

Sign up free. Nothing to install.

  2. Connect 8x8 Contacts once

Add your 8x8 Contacts connection in Settings. Every tool from this integration reuses it, and secrets are encrypted at rest and visible only to you.

  3. Describe the job in chat

The workflow builds itself in front of you and picks the endpoints it needs. Drag the steps yourself on the canvas whenever you would rather be explicit.
