Cutdown Studio
Takes a long clip and the seconds worth keeping, and works out the Short: how much survives, where each cut falls, and where every caption line lands in the finished edit. Its real job is the warning: a line sitting inside a dropped span disappears, and you only find that out on playback otherwise. It decides the edit and the words; it does not render video, and it transcribes nothing. Captions come from the clip row, so a speech-to-text step can fill them later without changing anything else.
